St Andrew's School celebrates 'good' Ofsted report
and pupils at Burnham-On-Sea's St Andrew's School are celebrating
this week after Ofsted graded it as 'Good' in all areas.
Burnham school was subject to an Ofsted inspection on February 1st
and 2nd this year and has been praised by the inspectors.
At present, safeguarding and childrens rates of progress are
the main focus for the inspectors - and these have both come out
well in the St Andrew's report.
the introduction of more robust criteria and a tougher inspection
regime since St Andrew's School was last inspected, the outcome
of this inspection confirms that it continues to be an effective
and supportive school.
standards of leadership and teaching combine with a strong ethos,
and a clear vision of direction that is shared by the whole of the
school community, added the inspectors.
report goes on to recognise the quality of governance, leadership
and teaching, and provides constructive and helpful advice and recommendations
on how the staff can work together for the future development of
Head teacher Ali Pook told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Together with
the schools leadership team, staff, parents and Governors,
I will continue to strive for effective school improvement to ensure
the children of our community receive the very best education."
