Burnham-On-Sea Police urge residents to lock doors after burglaries

-

Burnham-On-Sea Police have urged residents to be extra vigilant following a series of burglaries and attempts by a man to gain entry to homes.

Police issued a warning to residents on Saturday after several incidents in Stoddens Road, as pictured here.

“We were called to Stoddens Road after multiple reports of a man trying door handles to gain entry to properties,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

It comes after a recent upsurge in burglaries in Burnham and Highbridge when valuables have been stolen.

As pictured here, several police teams were called to Stoddens Road on Saturday afternoon. Police dogs were used in the search for the man who Police say could be linked to a spate of thefts.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact us on 101,” added the spokesman.
