Trinity Close to switch on Christmas lights today
Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac whose stunning display of over 100,000
twinkling Christmas lights has been dubbed 'Britain's most festive
street' will light up for the start of the festive season today
(Friday, December 1st).
Trinity Close residents have decorated their homes top to bottom
with colourful lights, in addition to roofs, lawns and garden fences,
and the display will be lit each night from 4.30pm-10pm until early
January, in aid of local charities.
Trinity Close display will be switched on at 7pm on Friday evening
following a performance of festive music.
to the switch-on are being encouraged not to come by car and to
be courteous to other residents in neighbouring streets.
Christmas, the five-week display in Trinity Close attracted crowds
of visitors who generously dug deep to raise a record sum of £13,329
shared between BARB, which operates Burnham's rescue hovercrafts,
and PETAL: The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust. Both charities
will benefit this Christmas.
