travel agent's raffle raises £300 for national charity
Christmas raffle at a Burnham-On-Sea travel agent shop has raised
hundreds of pounds for a national charity.
Travel in Burnham High Street organised the raffle in aid of Whizz-Kidz,
who are one of the company's chosen charities.
aim to transform the lives of disabled children across the UK, supporting
them to become confident and independent young adults.
Burnham store's raffle offered around 30 prizes - all donated by
local businesses including Argos, Tesco, Asda, La Vela, Boots, B&M,
Costa and 1610 Gym - and raised £325 in total.
top prize was won by Burnham resident Robin Hewlett, pictured, who
received an LCD TV kindly donated by Argos.
raffle was organised by staff member Audrey who has been with TUI
for 30 years and is pictured with Mr Hewlett.
