U3A founder thanked with gift in group's 25th year
founder of one of Burnham-On-Sea's biggest and longest-running community
groups - which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year - has
been formally thanked this week.
University of The Third Age (U3A) is celebrating its silver anniversary
throughout 2017 and its President and founder, Ken Hindle, received
a special 'thank you' from members.
was presented with an engraved crystal bowl as token of the group's
thanks for his work over the years, as pictured.

group's Chairman, Paul Hambleton, presented the award during a celebration
U3A in Burnham-On-Sea has over 560 members, with 42 separate groups
offering a wide range of activities from table tennis and Scrabble
to walking and craft-making.
