lovers in the Burnham-On-Sea area will be able to wish good health
on apple crops for the coming year during several local wassailing
events starting today.
centuries-old tradition of wassailing will take place at events
across the Burnham area.
Cider Farm in Watchfield near Burnham-On-Sea will hold its 2017
wassailling evening tonight, Saturday 14th January, from 7pm-midnight.
Music will be provided by The Skimmity Hitchers and Bob Darch Music.
Proceeds will go towards The League of Friends Burnham-On-Sea Hospital
and local Rotary charities. Tickets are available at £7.50
a wassailing evening will also be held at Chestnut Farm in Edithmead
tonight at 7.30pm. Call 01278 785376 to reserve tickets, priced
at £5 per adult and £2 per child (includes ploughman's
supper and mulled cider).
Knoll's West Croft Cider Farm will hold its wassailing evening,
with a torch-lit
procession, on Saturday 21st January from 7pm. Tickets are priced
at £11 with accompanied children under 14 free. Entrance will
be by ticket and will include a glass of mulled cider, plus free
samples of a selection of the farm's ciders. Reserve your ticket

Shop. All profits will go to Brent Knoll Parish Hall.
