Weston Hospicecare to open second charity shop in Burnham-On-Sea

Weston Hospicecare is set to open its second charity shop in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this month.

The new shop in the High Street will officially open its doors open on October 23rd at 9.30am, selling a wide range of clothing and household goods.

The charity already has a '£1 charity shop' in College Street which will remain open.

Gemma Turner, Retail Director for Weston Hospicecare, told "We are delighted to be opening our new High Street shop in Burnham-On-Sea on 23rd October."

"The shop reflects the great support and generosity that we receive from the Burnham community, and will be selling a great range of pre-loved and new goods at great prices. Our £1 Shop in College Street will remain open."

By supporting the new store, customers will be helping to ensure that Weston Hospciecare can continue to provide specialist palliative care to those affected by life-limiting illnesses in Burnham-On-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, and the surrounding areas.

"Weston Hospicecare costs over £4 million to keep running each year, and only 20% of those running costs are funded by the NHS."

"The rest is raised through the generosity of the local community, who take part in fundraising events or shop in the wide network of shops."
