Today: Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents hold Apex litter-pick

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents are holding a litter-pick at Apex Wildlife Park today (Wednesday) as part of a nationwide campaign from Keep Britain Tidy to clean up local communities.

The litter clean is being held at Apex Park in Highbridge today (Wednesday) from 10am-12pm as part of The Great British Spring Clean.

The Friends of Apex Park and members of the National Autistic Society are taking part in the organised litter-pick, meeting at the Apex Park car park.

"Sedgemoor District Council is loaning a range of support for those who are doing their bit, including free volunteer clean-up kits containing litter pickers and gloves and we will also collect the bags of collected rubbish," the council's spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"A delivery of special 'Great British Spring Clean' rubbish bags have been received by Sedgemoor District Council and are just waiting to be filled."

Email clean.surroundings@Sedgemoor.gov.uk if you want to join in the Great British Spring Clean.
