Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents invited to Apex Park drop-in

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents are being encouraged to get involved with the Friends of Apex Park.

The group, which oversees the popular Highbridge park, is organising a drop-in afternoon on Wednesday 4th July.

The Friends of Apex Park is a voluntary, fully constituted group, established in 2001, that aims to provide opportunities for community members to improve and promote the use of the park, to help protect and enhance Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park as a place of freedom, recreation, wildlife habitat and enjoyment for all sections of the local community.

It meets on a regular basis, and works closely with Sedgemoor District Council to improve the park as best it can.

A spokesperson says: “The Friends of Apex Park are holding a ‘drop-in’ afternoon for people to find out more about what the group does and how they can help to support them in the future. If you’re interested in becoming a Friend of Apex Park, please pop into Apex Office, Marine Drive between 1-3pm on Wednesday, 4th July.”
