Burnham-On-Sea’s traditional August Bank Holiday Monday summer fete is to be ‘bigger than ever’ when it returns to the town’s Manor Gardens.

The event – run by community group Burnham Events Social Team – will be held from 11am-4pm on Monday August 27th.

A Burnham Events Social Team spokeswoman said: “We are raising money this year for a defibrillator to be situated in the High Street.”

“There have been 41 stalls confirmed and is expected to be a larger event this year.”

“We have entertainment from Siobhan Johnson’s youth and adult choirs, the U3A Ukulele band, and the Draca Beordor Vikings. DJ Dave will be comparing the whole day and there will be lots of fun things for the children to do.”

“The Mayor will be opening the fete at 11am and it will run until 4pm.”

Stalls taking part include: Enhance, Nadia Wood – Branded Cosmetics, Win a car, Inner Wheel, Rebecca Dickson – Jewellery, Brenda Brookes, Somerset Time for Youth, Lions, Red Cross, Crepe Cart, British Legion, Moose, RNLI, Friends of the Hospital, Bristol Dawg – Dog rescue and Hillview Juvenile Carnival Club.

Others include British flag Carnival Club, Janet Rowland Handmade bags, Marc Lynham ice cream, Ritz Bar, Fun fair, BEST tea tent, Train, BBQ, St John’s Ambulance, Pictures and Prints, MNDA, Cake Stall, Go Socialize, Mandy Gair Hand made Chocolate, BIARS, Brean Splash, Methodist Church, tombola, skittles, hook a duck, Susan Stevens and the Rotary Club.
