Brean’s Holiday Resort Unity will be holding its first Biker Weekend, which will also be open to the general public for those wishing to enter as day visitors.

The weekend opens on Friday 29th June in the afternoon and runs through until the morning of Monday 2nd July, with entertainment taking place over the weekend.

Ride-outs have been arranged on the Saturday and Sunday by the organisers of Burnham Bike Knights and the Somerset Motorcycle Group, which include a route through Burnham to Minehead along the coast, and a ride across the Mendip Hills.

Over the course of the weekend, there will be demonstrations and displays featuring the Blood Bikes, Pat Watts Motorcycles from Bridgwater, Somerset Motorcycle Training, Peter Squires Classic Bikes, French Griffin Bikes and the Mini Club.

Stalls include Saddlesore Ted, Veteran Support, Air Ambulance, Used Bike and Bits & Pieces and there will be family fun with inflatables, the Surfer, a Football Shoot Out, Gladiator, a sweet stall and other food and drink available.

Entrance for day visitors is free of charge and access is through the main holiday park entrance to Holiday Resort Unity. Please register at Reception on arrival to gain access to the park.

For those staying over the weekend, there will also be live evening entertainment for all ages from our children’s fun time to acts including well known Irish folk band Meet The Flannigans and country music duo Tumblin’ Dice.

Alan House of Holiday Resort Unity told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is an event we have put on due to requests from some of our regular visitors to Unity. Whilst we are starting small, we are hoping that this is an event which can grow year on year to become one of the largest of its kind in the South West.”

“We would like to thank the local biker groups who have assisted us in putting this together, and we have made sure this will be a great weekend and free family day out for all ages to enjoy.”

If you are part of a biker organisation, there is still time to get involved, so please email deborah@brean.com for further information.
