Burnham-On-Sea’s hopes of achieving success in the 2018 Britain In Bloom competition were given a boost this week when a judge visited the town.

Judge Graham Price was met by Burnham In Bloom organisers Dave Perrett and Jo Brown on Wednesday July 18th, as pictured here.

Burnham In Bloom Chairman Dave Perrett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “He thought the town looks lovely and was impressed by the tour of our best floral displays.”

They visited Burnham’s High Street, Apex Park and Marine Cove plus St Andrew’s School during the day.

Dave added: “We also visited Sunny Lawns, GH Tyres, Beaufort House, plus Home Farm holiday park, which is entered into the tourism category, and Salt Express which is in the commercial section.”

“It was noted that Sedgemoor has done a great job with the hanging flower baskets along the High Street and Gardiner Whites were also thanked for their work with the flower planters in the High Street.”

“We hope that we’ve done well – it was a good visit.”

Dave told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the team now face a nervous wait until October when they will find out how well Burnham has done in the contest.
