The search for missing Burnham-On-Sea man Dean Tate has entered its second week with no sign of him found.

The 40-year-old was last seen at the TA8s bar in Pier Street in Burnham-On-Sea at 2am on Saturday, February 24th after earlier visiting the nearby Somerset and Dorset pub.

Signals from his mobile phone were last picked up at around 3am last Saturday morning and he has not been seen since which his family says is out of character.

Residents in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have been searching for Mr Tate without success.

Local Police, fire, Coastguard, BARB and RNLI crews have also been involved in major search of Apex Park, local lakes, rivers and the coastline to find him.

Detective Sergeant Grant Boyd said: “Dean’s disappearance is out of character and we’re increasingly concerned for his welfare.”

“There are several watercourses in the area and the water at this time of year can be icy cold and very dangerous to even the young and fit. Please don’t put yourself at risk.”
