Brave Burnham-On-Sea fundraisers sought to join fire walk!

-

Animal lovers in the Burnham-On-Sea area are being asked to take on the hottest walk of their lives in aid of local wildlife animal rescue charity Secret World Wildlife Rescue.

The sponsored fire walk will be held on 17th February – and the charity is looking for brave souls ready to put their best foot forward and walk over red-hot wood embers that reach temperatures of up to 800 degrees!

Fire-walking experts will be on hand throughout and full training will be provided before people walk the coals. Training will begin at 5pm and the walk will follow.

Registration is just £25, and each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Friends and family are all welcome to watch and provide moral support.

The charity’s Samantha Hannay said: “The beauty of a fire walk is that it is open to everyone and doesn’t require months of training. It is more mind over matter and will be one of the most memorable journeys you will ever undertake.”

“What could be more inspirational than knowing that your walk will help raise money for ill, injured and orphaned wild animals? Come and join us for the event – it promises to be a lot of fun!”

You must be 18 or over to take part. For more information, full terms and conditions and to download a sponsorship form visit www.secretworld.org/events

Secret World provides a 365-day-a-year service to rescue sick, injured or orphaned wildlife, funded by donations.
