Burnham-On-Sea community groups offered free spring bulbs

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge community groups have this week been offered a chance to get a free supply of Spring bulbs.

Sedgemoor District Council has managed to secure a limited supply of ‘woodland mix’ spring bulbs for Parish and Town Councils, as well as community groups to plant themselves.

“The bags of bulbs are 25 kilos in weight, need to be planted within the next four weeks and will provide a ‘blooming lovely’ display in the spring,” said the council’s Clair Faun this week.

Community groups or parish councils can register an interest, via e-mail to clean.surroundings@sedgemoor.gov.uk or by calling 0300 303 7803. The closing date is Friday 28th September 2018.

Bulbs will be allocated according to interest, one bag per organisation, and made available either to collect from the council’s depot in Colley Lane, Bridgwater or delivered direct from week commencing 8th October 2018.
