Brean fundraiser who is afraid of heights is set to bravely take
part in a cliff abseiling challenge for charity.
Haines, who works at Brean's Holiday Resort Unity, will be abseiling
down Uphill's 140ft quarry cliff face this Saturday (September 29th).
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It all started when I was sat waiting
for my daughter Kiera to come out of school. I heard Heart FM wanted
people to sign up to its 'Make Some Noise Over The Edge challenge'."
wanted people who have never done abseiling before to challenge
themselves and raise money for their charity which helps smaller
charities across the south west, many of which are for children."
been wanting to challenge myself this year after some recent family
tragedies. Life is for living and trying new things."
adds: "I have always hated heights and have never done anything
like this before."
