Car recovered in Bristol after Burnham-On-Sea hit and run incident

A car has been recovered and a driver is being hunted after a hit and run incident in Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday (January 17th).

Police are hunting for the driver of a Volkswagen Passat, while another car linked to the driver was located in the Knowle area of Bristol.

The VW Passat failed to stop for officers in Burnham-On-Sea at 3.30pm on Tuesday and collided with a Kia on Adam Street a short time later.

An elderly man driving the Kia was treated at the scene for shock, as we reported here.

Craig Evry, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, told "We can confirm that a car was recovered in the Knowle area of Bristol that is linked to the driver."

"No arrests have been made and efforts to find the driver are ongoing."

"We are still trying to locate the car used in the incident, a VW Passat."

Anyone with any information about the incident should call Burnham-On-Sea Police on the non-emergency number 101.
