Dozens attend ball for Burnham-On-Sea charity In Charley’s Memory

-

Dozens of supporters of a Burnham-On-Sea charity flocked to its annual ball on Friday evening (March 16th).

In Charley’s Memory held its third annual ball at Weston Pier featuring live music and entertainment, a photo booth and disco.

“What is so great about the ball is that it is the one event we can all come together celebrate ICM’s achievements and thank those that have supported us during the year,” said Dawn Carey, operations manager at the charity.

In Charley’s Memory was set up after 18 year-old Charley took his own life in September 2014. The charity now supports and helps hundreds of young people and those affected by mental health.

Young singer Gracie Wickens-Sweet from Brent Knoll, who was a quarter finalist on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, gave a stirring performance during the evening.

Burnham-On-Sea’s former MP Tessa Munt was among those in the audience supporting the charity, pictured below with member’s of Charley’s family.
