The village of Mark near Burnham-On-Sea is set to hold its annual harvest home next Saturday (August 11th).

Mark Harvest Home Lunch is a traditional festival to celebrate a good harvest, with the tradition taking place in the village of Mark for well over 100 years.

Tickets for the lunch need to be purchased by the end of today (Sunday 5th August) for catering purposes.

Come and join the fun and celebration in a large marquee. Lunch is cold meats – ham, salt beef and roast beef – with bread, salads and pickles, followed by trifle and cheese & biscuits, all washed down with beer and cider.

Vegetarians are catered for – please say when ordering tickets. All this for £18. Please purchase tickets by Sunday 5th August to be part of this wonderful tradition.

Mark Harvest Home Lunch is held at Mill Batch in Mark, near Highbridge at 12.45pm on Saturday 11th August. For tickets please phone Mel on 01278 641141. It is followed in the afternoon by children’s sports and a tea at 4.15pm.
