Burnham-On-Sea has been given a boost, thanks to a weekend of warm weather bringing visitors into the town.

Temperatures peaked at 25.2°C (77.3°F) in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday and also reached 24°C (75.2°F) on Bank Holiday Monday during two days of blue skies and uninterrupted sunshine.

Burnham-On-Sea beach was packed with visitors making the most of the great conditions, as pictured here.

The Manor Gardens were also filled on Sunday with hundreds of people enjoying Party In The Park, Burnham’s first outdoor music event of the summer season, as pictured below.

Burnham-On-Sea.com spoke to several businesses during the weekend who reported great trade.

Geoff Lewis at The Treasure Chest gift shop on The Esplanade said: “It’s been an exceptional weekend. It’s really great to see the sunshine putting smiles on so many people’s faces.”

Kathy Jones at the Toy Cupboard in Pier Street added: “It’s been a very good weekend for us with a steady stream of visitors.”

Seafoods’ Gaynor Wright, who runs the seafood stall on the seafront, pictured below, added: “It’s been so busy that we sold out of some stock – a great weekend.” The owner of the ice cream concession on Burnham beach also said he’d seen his “busiest days in years”.

There were also busy scenes at Brean, where over 1,500 vehicles were parked on the beach during Sunday and again on Monday.
