Burnham-On-Sea and District Royal British Legion is to unveil a new standard next month during a special ceremony.

The group’s previous standard was formally ‘laid up’ in 2014 when the group previously folded.

However, the Legion branch has since been reformed and is thriving again with many new members and a new standard is to be formally unveiled.

The group’s John Crosby told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Now that the branch is active again, we are keen to have a new standard that will be proudly displayed at events such as at Burnham’s Armed Forces Day parade in June, pictured.”

He added that a special church service will be held at St Andrew’s Church on March 18th at 12 mid-day when the new standard will be unveiled.

Legion members, members of local cadets forces, and dignitaries will be attending and the County RBL Chairman will formally unveil the standard.
