Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Social Club has enjoyed a boost in trade during the snowfall.
The club in Victoria Street did not close during Friday’s snowfall and saw a surge in visitors.
General Manager Paul Hale told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Some people took advantage of an extra day off work and enjoyed it at their local.”
“The Ritz Social Club saw a very good day’s business on Friday with many people also venturing in to support our weekly charity quiz.”
Paul added: “On arriving for work on Friday morning it was important to make people aware that we were open so we immediately cleared the pavements around the building.”
“Staff arrangements were changed to ensure they could all get home safely at the end of the shift. We had a very busy afternoon and evening’s trading, which was fantastic.”
