Network Rail is to carry out work to two local bridges, leading to the temporary closure of two roads in the Burnham-On-Sea area from this week.

Stoddens Lane in Burnham-On-Sea will have a temporary road closure in place for five days from January 15th to 19th during the first phase of the work.

Safety improvements are being made by Network Rail with the installation of new fencing around the railway bridge in Stoddens Road.

And New Road in West Huntspill will also be temporarily closed for five days by Network Rail from 29th January to Febuary 2nd so it can install new fencing and carry out de-vegetation work around the railway bridge.

The firm says that full diversion routes will be in force while the closures are in place.
