Burnham-On-Sea Scouts raise over £680 packing bags at Tesco store

-

Members from 1st Burnham-On-Sea Scout groups Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections came together on Sunday (22nd July) to help pack hundreds of bags for customers at a town supermarket during a fundraising day.

The youngsters, aged 6-14, were invited to Burnham’s Tesco store in Ben Travers Way between 10am and 4pm.

The group’s Jacob Beard told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Thank you to everyone who supported us – we managed to raise a fantastic £681.61.”

“This will help us continue to provide scouting to our young people, giving them many skills and experiences they would not get without Scouting.”

“We are actively engaging and supporting young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society and giving them skills for life.”
