A Burnham-On-Sea couple is celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this week.
Joan and Graham Vearncombe, who are both retired, were delighted to receive a special congratulations card from The Queen, as pictured here.
When we asked them what’s the success to such a long-lasting marriage, Graham’s joking response was to “always work away from home!”
They both agreed that to love and respect each other is so important and, as best friends and soul mates, they have always looked after each other.
The couple had a quiet day at home and are planning a celebratory party with family and friends next week at home.
They got married at Axbridge Church on the 29th March 1958.
