Police
rush to Burnham-On-Sea Pier amid security scare
 Two
teams of police officers rushed to Burnham-On-Sea Pier late on
Monday night (December 5th) amid fears that the building had been
broken into.
The
Pavilion's burglar alarms were triggered at around 11pm, waking
residents in the area, and a full security operation swung into
operation.
The
officers were quickly on the scene, but fortunately the incident
turned out to be nothing more than a false alarm and the all-clear
was given at about 11.15pm.
Visitors
to Burnham-On-Sea.com's seafront Webcam were able to watch the
incident unfold.
