Woman
killed in car accident is formally named by police
The
34-year-old woman who was killed in a road accident at Mark, near
Burnham-On-Sea, last week was formally identified by police on
Monday.
Natalie
Cuthbertson of Mendip Road, Weston-super-Mare, was killed when
her Rover 214 was involved in a crash (pictured right) on the
Mark
Causeway at 4.35pm last Thursday, as reported here.
Police
have renewed their appeal for witnesses and anyone who saw the
collision is asked to contact the Somerset Collision Investigation
Unit on 0845 4567000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
A
male passenger in the car, who was taken by air ambulance to the
RUH at Bath with serious injuries, is reported to be making progress.
He underwent surgery at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and his condition
is improving.
The
crash occurred after the car appeared to swerve to the nearside
and left carriageway, colliding with a tree. The driver of the
car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The
road policing units collision investigation unit put out
an appeal for witnesses and would
particularly like to hear from the driver of a silver coloured
car, which may have stopped to assist at the scene but left before
police arrived.
