Young
girl hurt in car accident near Burnham-On-Sea
A
six-year-old was rushed to Weston General hospital on Friday night
(December 30th) after a car accident on the A38 near to Burnham-On-Sea.
The
girl, who was being driven home following a trip to the circus
at nearby Sanders Garden World, was treated by paramedics at the
scene for neck pains.
An
eyewitness told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "She was given a neck
collar and then put on a board to keep her body straight, before
being moved into an ambulance."
She
was travelling in one of two cars involved in a collision near
the Fox and Goose public house at around 6pm.
One
of the vehicles is believed to have swerved and abruptly stopped
to avoid something on the road - but the car behind did not stop
in time and collided into the back of the vehicle.
One
of the motorists was given an alcohol breath test by police at
the scene.
