Pedestrian suffers head injuries after Burnham-On-Sea
road accident
Police
have appealed for witnesses after a car accident in Burnham-On-Sea
left an 18 year-old lady from the town in hospital with head injuries.
Highbridge
Road was closed for three hours on Monday November 7th after a
Rover 214 collided with a pedestrian at approximately 5.20pm.
An
ambulance was called to the incident, near the Lighthouse Inn,
and paramedics treated the lady at the scene before rushing her
to Weston-super-Mare General Hospital.
An
Avon and Somerset Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
casualty did suffer head injuries, but fortunately these were
not life-threatening."
"We
are appealing for witnesses to come forward and would urge anyone
who saw the accident or has details which could be useful to the
investigation to come forward."
