UK's
top water skiers in town
 FAST-paced,
top class water skiing action was held in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday
(August 5th) when the UK's National Water Skiing Championships
returned to the town after an absence of more than 10 years during

flock to ESCAPE Day

crowd of around 3,000 people flocked to Burnham seafront on August
4th 2007, when more than a dozen emergency services from across
Somerset gathered for a joint safety awareness day. The fourth

yachts light up bay

IMPRESSIVE fireworks display and sail-by
of illuminated yachts attracted
a crowd of more than 3,000 people to Burnham-On-Sea's Esplanade
on Friday evening (August 3rd). The
display involved 23 yachts from Burnham Sailing Club, all of which
were lit up.

Colourful
start to Regatta!
 Burnham-On-Sea's
nine-day Regatta kicked off on Saturday (July 28th) with a colourful
fancy dress tender race, a Caribbean-themed beach party and a

Treasure
hunt winner named
 THE
winner of this year's Burnham-On-Sea Regatta Treasure Hunt has
been named this week by organisers. Bridgwater's Diane Stuart
beat off competition from 55 other entries and was handed her
first prize of £100 cash and a bouquet of flowers by Alex
