Burnham marks Remembrance Day with ceremony
at war
memorial

More
than 200 dignitaries, former service personnel and representatives
from local groups gathered at Burnham-On-Sea's war memorial on
Sunday morning, November 13th, to mark Remembrance Day.
In
a ceremony led by Rev Graham Witts, wreaths were laid by Burnham
MP David Heathcoat-Amory, pictured right, and town Mayor Eric
Gill, plus leaders of other groups in the town.
Two
minutes' silence was held at exactly 11am followed by the playing
of the Last Post.
A
procession then followed along Love Lane to St Andrew's Church
where a service marking the occasion took place. Our photos show
the ceremony at the town's War Memorial.
