£700 raised for charity by fundraisers
at Burnham's Ritz Club
Hundreds
of pounds has been donated to charity following two successful
fundraising events organised by Burnham-On-Sea Ritz Club.
A
cheque for £706 was this week handed over to cancer
charity Tenovus
after the club's craft fair and beach fun day.
The
sun shone for the fun day, which included rounders for
members and guests, a
barbecue and live music from local band Snag and friends.
The
club's annual Arts and Crafts Fair helped to generate further
cash, with a raffle, tombola and auction of produce all being
well supported. A competition to guess how many pickled onions
were in a jar generated £54 alone!
Our
picture shows Paul Davis, Club Chairman, with David Foulds, Vice
Chairman, presenting the cheque to Monica Sluman, Manager of Burnham-On-Sea's
Tenovus charity shop.

enquiries about future Ritz Club events or club membership drop
