PUB QUIZ RAISES £700 FOR RNLI (Posted 31 December, 2005)
More than £700 has been handed over to Burnham-On-Sea RNLI after a year of fundraising quiz evenings at The Berrow Inn. The money has been used to buy a new computer projector. Full details here.

STATION OPENED TO PUBLIC (Posted 29 August, 2005)
Burnham's lifeboat station held its annual open day on Sunday, August 28th, when visitors were able to meet the crew, see the lifeboats and watch a lifeboat launch from the beach. Full details here.

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI has carried out its threat of getting vehicles towed away if they prevent the town's lifeboats from launching. Two cars were removed from outside the station. Full details here.

CARS CLAMPED AT STATION (22 March, 2005)
Two vehicles parked opposite Burnham-On-Sea RNLI lifeboat station's gates were clamped today for causing an obstruction. It follows warnings about the dangers of blocking the lifeboats. Full details here.

NEW MEDICAL ADVISOR STARTS (22 March, 2005)
Consultant Occupational Physician Dr Elizabeth Hodges (Surgeon Commander RN Rtd) has been appointed to the position of Lifeboats Medical Advisor at Burnham-On-Sea RNLI. Full details here.

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI helmsman Glen Cutter was interviewed by Alex Lewis on BBC Radio Bristol this week and used the airtime to promote key sea safety messages. Full details here.

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI's lifeboats, the Staines Whitfield and Elsie Francis II, were visited by Burnham and Highbridge Explorer scouts on Tuesday March 15th. Full details here.

CALL-OUT PICTURE PRESENTED (9 March, 2005)

A TORCH-LIT search of Burnham beach was c
arried out after a member of the public rang police shortly after hearing distressed voices between the Pier and Jetty. The Coastguard requested the assistance of RNLI crew members. Full details here.

RNLI IN HELICOPTER EXERCISE (March 5, 2005)
Burnham's lifeboats joined other stations in taking part in a major exercise in the middle of the Bristol Channel on Saturday March 5. Full details here.

OVER 30 ATTEND RNLI MEETING (Feb 28, 2005)
Over thirty people attended Burnham-On-Sea RNLI's first open meeting in the town's Somerset and Dorset public house to hear a round-up of the station's first year of operation. Full details here.
