RAISE RNLI FUNDS
CHEQUE for more than £3,000 has been handed over to Burnham-On-Sea
lifeboat station following a successful fundraising climbing event.
A group of a dozen graduates from Magnox held a climbing wall fundraising
challenge in aid of the RNLI. Full
LAUNCHES PUBLICITY BOARD
giant Tesco has given Burnham-On-Sea RNLI a publicity boost. The town's
store in Ben Travers Way has installed an RNLI notice board near the
checkouts so shoppers can keep up to date with lifeboat news. Full
SAFETY CHECKS FOR SAILORS
Burnham-On-Sea yachtsmen have been presented with RNLI sea safety stickers
after completing safety checks conducted by David Humphrey, Sea Safety
Advisor at the town's RNLI Station. A Sea Safety Check is not a pass

PHOTOS: ESCAPE DAY 2008
rain failed to dampen the spirits of the sixteen emergency services
taking part in Burnham-On-Sea's annual safety awareness day on Saturday
(August 9th). Organisers hailed it a success despite the poor weather.
VISITS BRISTOL REGATTA
crews from Burnham-On-Sea participated in the annual Bristol Harbour
Regatta on Saturday August 2nd. The crew spoke to members of the public
about the role of the RNLI as well as demonstrating how a capsized lifeboat

IS BACK IN BURNHAM
RNLI station has welcomed back Puffin, its D-Class lifeboat, to the
station. After a scheduled refit lasting several months, the lifeboat
finally returned to active service on July 18th at its home lifeboat
BALL TICKETS ON SALE

TICKETS have gone on sale for a special summer ball being held later
this summer to raise funds for Burnham-On-Sea RNLI lifeboat station.
The Grand Summer Ball will be held on Saturday 26th July from 8pm at
Rookery Manor in Lympsham (pictured).
CYCLISTS PEDAL FOR FUNDS

A TEAM of Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station supporters completed a 90-mile
sponsored cycle ride to raise funds for the charity on Saturday (June
14th). The team set off on their bikes from Burnham lifeboat station
and rode to RNLI HQ in Dorset. Full
CREW ON THEIR BIKES

A TEAM of Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station supporters is to cycle more
than 90 miles to Poole later this month to raise funds for the charity.
The team - called 'Coast To Coast' - will set off on their bikes fro
Burnham on June 14th as they cycle to the RNLI HQ in Dorset.
DONATION FOR RNLI

FIDDINGTON resident Belinda Llewelyn-Jones has handed over a total of
£5,800 to Burnham-On-Sea RNLI Lifeboat station after completing
the London Marathon in five hours and three minutes. Belinda raised
almost half the money online.

crewmembers from Burnham lifeboat station - Simon Hart, Helen Verrall
and Kate Davies - have just returned from an inshore lifeboat training
course in Dorset.
