Signs opposite the station clearly warn that drivers risk fines, clamping, and even being towed away. The vehicles' owners paid the clamping fees and the clamps were later removed.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Martin Cox said: "Up to now, members of the public have been extremely co-operative, by not parking in the signed areas." He added:
"However, this is the start of the holiday season, when the RNLI
is called upon much more frequently, and unco-operative parking by members
of the public could cost lives. Offenders will be clamped, and if necessary,
