Burnham RNLI personnel keep their promise to Burnham Community Centre

Last year, the Burnham-On-Sea Community centre presented the John Godfrey Morris callout board to the care of the RNLI, and in its rightful place at the Burnham-on-Sea RNLI lifeboat station.

The local RNLI management promised the community centre committee a framed picture of the board, in memory of the act of custodian, without which, the board might have been lost forever.

The picture above shows Burnham-On-Sea RNLI station Chairman Tony Winterburn (right) handing the picture to Community Centre Caretaker warden Ken Pollard.

Ken said: "The picture will be displayed where it can easily be seen."

Callout boards are not used any more, but a list of Burnham-On-Sea callouts and activities can be seen on the station's internet Web site on Burnham-On-Sea.com.
