Fundraising
ferrets raise fun and funds for Burnham's lifeboats!
More
than £260 was raised for Burnham's lifeboats after ferrets
after an evening of ferret racing on Saturday April 22nd.
Regulars
at the Berrow Inn showed both imagination and a sense of humour
in arranging the fundraising racing session in aid of the RNLI.
Organiser
Ray Hancock, pictured right, thanked Sharon and Kevin for supplying
the
ferrets, Paul Jones for his bookeeping skills, and Brian Reed
for his unique
way of auctioning the ferrets on the night.
Ray
said: "The money raised
will be put into the kitty, to purchase an item, or items, for
the lifeboat
station at the end of the year."

Lifeboats Press Officer Mike Lang said: "We are grateful
for the support from all at the Berrow Inn. The ferret race evening
proved to be good fun."
