A recent event organised by the Burnham Boat Owners Sea Angling Association saw more than 60 anglers taking to the waters off Burnham in 25 boats for a mammoth sea fishing competition. A raffle at the end of the event also helped raise funds, and the outcome saw a total of £110 donated to the RNLI.
The competition attracted competitors from as far away as Poole in Dorset and lasted for more than seven hours.
Dick Stewart, competition secretary, at the time, said that the event had been very successful, adding: "We've had a good turnout and the weather stayed fine for the whole day. We plan to hold a similar event next year."
