Spirits not dampened at Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station open day!

Saturday’s wet weather adversely affected the number of visitors to the station, but resolute station supporters soldiered on from under a gazebo at the station gates.

Nevertheless, we still managed to sell a respectable amount of lifeboat souvenirs."

She added: "The day was a success mainly because of the help from the rest of our supporters team, and the lifeboat volunteers."

The next activity for the Supporters' Group is to open the station on the forthcoming Bank Holiday Monday when organisers hope the weather will be better.
