Trefoil Guild gives Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station a cash boost

A cheque for £150 has been handed over to Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station following a fundraising event by the town's Trefoil Guild.

The group was launched over five years ago and each year chooses a different project to raise money for, with Burnham's RNLI lifeboat station benefiting this year.

June Ganton, Chairwoman of Burnham's Trefoil Guild, presented Lifeboat Education and Visits Officer Tony Deahl with a cheque for £150 at their first monthly meeting of 2009.

Tony said: "We thank you for this cheque. It looks like this year could be a difficult time for charities, and the money will be put to good use helping to run our lifeboats."
