Mayor
and Mayoress hand over cheque following charity concert success

Burnham-On-Sea's
Mayor and Mayoress handed over cheques to the town's lifeboat
and hovercraft crews this week following a successful fundraising
concert held earlier in the year.
Mayoress
Gilli Kenyon-Gill, who organised the event with her husband Eric,
raised an impressive £320 at the well-supported event in
Highbridge Community Centre during April.
This
week, the rescue crews gathered on Burnham beach as the two cheques
were handed over to the RNLI's Tony Winterburn and Nick Redding,
and BARB's Peter Emery and Simon Triggol.
Gilli
was then taken on a flight in the hovercraft along the beach to
the town's lighthouse, which she described as "simply marvellous."
