Burnham RNLI tractor winched from
mud
The
treacherous nature of Burnham-On-Sea's mud was demonstrated on
Tuesday June 8 when the RNLI's own tractor became stuck at the
end of the town's jetty.
The
MB4H tractor is used to haul the RNLI's lifeboats out of Bridgwater
Bay - but it became trapped for several minutes in a shifting
patch of soft mud near the low water line.
The
MB4H was winched out of the mud, back up the beach, by a second
tractor.
