Burnham RNLI Open Days raise more than £150

More than £150 was raised for Burnham-On-Sea RNLI following the first two of a series of open days at the station.

The Burnham RNLI Supporters' Group opened the station in Pier Street on Sunday October 24th and Sunday October 31st - and took over £150 from donations and the sale of lifeboat souvenirs.

Visitors, who included the Thomas family from Burnham (pictured), were able to get a close-up look at the two lifeboats and also talk to crew members about the life-saving service.

Supporters' Group spokesperson Jendy Weekes said: "It's been a successful couple of days and we look forward to seeing more visitors during the next few weekends."

She added: "We're offering a superb selection of souvenirs, greetings cards and gifts that not only make ideal Christmas presents, but also help to raise much-needed funds for the RNLI."

Saturday 6th November between 1400 and 1600 hrs

Sunday 7th November between 1400 and 1600 hrs

Saturday 13th November between 1000 and 1300 hrs

Saturday 20th November between 1000 and 1300 hrs

Saturday 27th November between 1000 and 1300 hrs

Saturday 4th December between 1000 and 1300 hrs
