Burnham-On-Sea's lifeboats joined Weston's RNLI crews in helping to rescue a jet skier who got into difficulties near Brean Down on Saturday morning, June 3rd.

"The jet skier's machine suffered battery failure and he needed help to get back to shore," a Swansea Coastguard spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"He was very well equipped with mobile phone, flares, and a GPS system so was able to contact us quickly."

The jet skier, who is from Weston, was taken onboard one of the Weston lifeboats shortly after mid-day and his machine was towed behind, as shown in our photographs, to Knightstone Harbour.

It was the second time in just four days that Coastguards have called out Burnham-On-Sea's lifeboat crew. It followed a call-out on May 31st to a yacht.
