Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat called
to capsized catamaran
Burnham-On-Sea's
Atlantic 75 lifeboat, The Staines Whitfield, was called out at
1.05pm on Monday (July 3rd) to help a catamaran that had capsized
in Bridgwater Bay to
the west of the town's jetty.
The
lifeboat quickly made its way from the RNLI station to the beach
in readiness to launch.
However,
on arrival, the crew found the catamaran (pictured) had managed
to self-right itself and no longer required help, with the two
sailors onboard enjoying some exciting sailing in the stiff on-shore
breeze.
