Burnham-On-Sea
lifeboat called out to investigate woman in sea

Burnham-On-Sea's
D-Class lifeboat was launched on Friday (May 18th) for the second
time in a week after a fully clothed person was reported to be
in the sea up to her waist.
The
Puffin lifeboat was launched from the town's slipway, as pictured,
and its crew of three were quickly on scene near Maddock's Slade.
Police
and ambulance staff managed to coax the lady out of the water
before the lifeboat arrived and she was taken away for medical
treatment.
The
lifeboat was stood down by Coastguards and returned to the jetty.

Burnham-On-Sea's
D-Class lifeboat launched from the slipway shortly after 9am.

Puffin
was launched from its launching tractor with the Arco Dart dredger
in the background.

The
lifeboat was stood down soon after passing Burnham's Pavilion.
