Burnham lifeboat called to help drifting powerboat in Bridgwater Bay

Burnham-On-Sea's Atlantic 75 lifeboat was called out on Saturday October 15th after the power boat pictured above got into difficulties in Bridgwater Bay.

Coastguards called on the Staines Whitfield lifeboat to assist the power boat after it suffered power failure and began to drift out of the bay.

Minutes later, however, the lifeboat was recalled when another craft came to the aid of the power boat and helped it back to the town's jetty.

The lifeboat returned to its station in Pier Street without launching.
