New
Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat shop prepares for official opening
Workmen
have been busy making final adjustments to Burnham-On-Sea's brand
new Lifeboat Station shop, which is set to be officially opened
by TV star John Inverdale during February.
The
shop is situated on the seafront next to Sunspot Amusements, and
overlooks the Esplanade and jetty.
Run
by Burnham RNLI's Supporters Group (pictured right), the premises
is being refitted and brand new signs are due to go up this week
ahead of the official opening on Monday February 27th at mid-day.
Well-known
BBC TV commentator John Inverdale is scheduled to perform the
official opening. His sister,
Jendy Weekes, is co-chairman of Burnham's RNLI Supporters Group.
The
group also hopes to open the shop for a week from Saturday February
11th during the busy half-term holiday week.
Our

shop. They include Mike and Erika Karlstedt, Ken and Sandra King,
Mary and Eric Summers, Dot and Roy Hall, Catriona Newman, Jendy
Weekes (Co-ordinator) and Burnham-On-Sea RNLI Chairman Tony Winterburn.
