Santa's
elves arrive early at Burnham-On-Sea's RNLI shop!
Burnham-On-Sea
RNLI's Supporters Group has this week thanked an anonymous donor
for leaving a trio of knitted lifeboat crewmen at the town's RNLI
shop.
Co-ordinator
Jendy Weekes arrived at the seafront shop this week to find an
anonymous donor had left the three knitted teddies in a carrier
bag, hanging from the door knob.
The
crewmen were all smaller versions of an original knitted crewmember
that Jendy had been using as a shop display.
Jendy
said: "I would like to thank the anonymous donor of this
kind gift. Our shop closed on December 23rd and we are actively
seeking alternative premises within the town. The four knitted
lifeboat men will take pride of place when we eventually open
up in our new shop."

Lifeboat Press Officer Mike Lang added: "The gift is much
appreciated and perhaps this is an appropriate time to remind
the public that our volunteer lifeboat crews are on standby over
the Christmas holiday 24 hours a day. However, prevention is better
than cure, so please be safe at sea."
Our
photo shows Jendy with the complete collection of knitted crewmembers.
