Highbridge Social Club will be holding an open skittles weekend on Saturday 22nd October and Sunday 23rd October, when all will be welcome to participate and be in with a chance of wining a cash prize of £200.
All profits from the weekend, including the proceeds from a well-stocked raffle table, will go to Burnham-On-Sea RNLI station.
The event comes after Highbridge Social Club recently voted the RNLI station as one of their supported charities.
Burnham-On-Sea charity supporter Miki Tilley had already decided to hold a skittles event for RNLI, having previously organised a smaller event earlier in the year jointly for the RNLI and BARB hovercraft.
When it was suggested that the social club would be an ideal place for her event Miki agreed, and arrangements were made to hold the event on October 22nd and 23rd October at that location. Miki said: "I want to support the RNLI, and this event shows a lot of potential."
Lifeboat Press Officer Mike Lang added: "The social club members are being very supportive. This is a good opportunity to enjoy yourself raising funds for the RNLI, with the chance of winning a cash prize at the end of the weekend."
Competitors will have to score 14 pins to qualify for the play-off. The timetable will be as follows: Saturday: 12 noon to 9.00 pm; Sunday: 12 noon to 4.00 pm; and Sunday play-off: 6.00 pm onwards.
